City Council

The City of Newcastle has adopted the form of government of council-manager. The City Council consists of Mayor, Vice Mayor and 3 additional council people. Each member serves a four term and must live in the ward they represent. All registered voters of the City are eligible to vote for any candidate, no matter the ward they represent. The members of the City of Newcastle City Council are not compensated for their role on the council or maintain an office at City Hall.

City Council Members as follows:

• Ward 1: Cindy Frizzell, elected April 2007, term expires 2011
• Ward 2: Linda Molsbee, elected April 2007, term expires 2011
• Ward 3: Jim Inskeep, Vice Mayor, elected April 2009, term expires 2013
• Ward 4: Karl Nail, Mayor, elected April 2009, term expires 2013
• At-Large: Chris Turner, elected April 2009, term expires 2013
